Are there resources for navigating the embarrassment of riches?
I remember 'brute force' reading the glorious Archive (what was its name, it was The SG-1 archive) when I 'ran out' of The Sentinel fanfiction as would happen occasionally-it was only later that DVD became a thing and I watched the show.
