marzipan77It feels different this year - so many things are different. There are empty places at many tables, gifts are few, families separated. Some struggle with the label "non-essential," others are exhausted and stressed from overwork. Anxiety is high, fear overpowering the usual joy and togetherness.
Most years I write a Christmas story for my church to read on Christmas Eve. Even though my family has decided to remain home from church this year, the story, the music, and the blessings of Christmas continue. My on-line fandom friends understand how to be together while apart - it's something we should teach others.
